“Can you really even call yourself stylish if your whole wardrobe is from the same few stores?” I heard a coworker mutter this line last summer, and just recently I realized that I fell and continue to fall victim to this very idea. I will admit that most of my basics hail from the likes of Gap, Banana Republic, Talbots, and Ann Taylor–and for this reason, these brands will appear on my blog far more consistently than will any other. I recognize that this makes me less versatile as a style blogger, and I will continue to work on trying out new stores, and purchasing from new brands. Outfits are super important, but I also try my best to be practical and cost effective when choosing pieces to add to my wardrobe, and these 4 stores have never failed me in that sense. But, I still am a firm believer that accessories, bags, and shoes make an outfit complete, and these are where my biggest splurges occur. I am willing to venture out a lot more to seek unique items where accessories are concerned. Upon reflection however, I’m definitely going to do my best to re-vamp my wardrobe by checking out brands, companies, and stores that I have never purchased from or perhaps even those that I haven’t heard of.
Currently taking requests for new brands–whether it be accessories or clothing….any thoughts?
