Ready, jet set, and I’m off to London tomorrow! (P.S. This is a super old pic of me at the airport haha) While I’m super excited for my short time there, I’d definitely say one thing I dreaded the most in the days leading up was PACKING. Yet, I dreaded it much less than I likely would have a year ago. Having gone on a few trips in the past few months, I’ve picked up some great packing hacks that I thought I’d share with you…Here goes!
1. ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES AND ROLL THOSE CLOTHES
Yes, it takes a bit more effort than folding might, and yes, you will have to carve out a good hour or so just for this. But, it’s extremely helpful for trips where:
a) you’ll be doing a lot of shopping, or
b) you’re going to need to take a lot of clothes and/or layers

2. INVEST IN A LIPSTICK PALETTE
This is something you probably haven’t heard much before, but instead of taking all of your individual lipsticks, it helps to have a lip palette that has a multitude of colors so you can mix, match, and blend dependent upon your outfits. These are a few I’ve invested in that I absolutely love (click on them to purchase!):
Otherwise, my favorite places to buy lip palettes and any makeup in general are none other than: Sephora and Nordstrom
3. STUFF YOUR PURSES
Not with tissue paper, silly! To save space, it always helps to fold your scarves or smaller trinkets (like belts) and put them into your designer handbags; it actually helps to maintain the bags’ shapes and prevents them from getting crushed or damaged easily.
4. BAG INCEPTION
Put some bags inside your bag, and bags inside of those bags too. What I generally do is keep one bag with my undergarments that goes inside my suitcase. I also have a toiletry/makeup bag that goes into my suitcase and is made up of one pouch that houses my makeup, another pouch that houses my hair accessories, and another pouch that has my facewash, toothbrush, lotions, etc… Anyways, here are some super useful pouches and bags to grab for your next packing session (click on images to purchase!):
Some other great places to search for cosmetic pouches, bag organizers, and such are the following:
DVF
Trina Turk
Nordstrom
KNOMO Bags via Zappos

I hope these were all useful tips and that you’re inspired to make some change to make packing and unpacking a less daunting task for you! You’ll be a travel pro in no time if you start to follow these tips routinely, I promise 🙂
