Day 2 // Outfit 1: Into the Hoods
Since this was one of my last few moments in warmer weather, I seized the opportunity. My outfit with incorporated two elements: a pair of shorts and a hoodie, items appropriate for summer and fall, respectively. I’ve been really into over-sized items as of late, because beyond just providing me with comfort, they certainly make a style statement and, to be totally honest, photograph super well.
Let’s jump right into the outfit details. I wore a baby blue Isabel Marant over-sized hoodie. This gorgeous piece is one that I bought in my recent trip to London at the Isabel Marant boutique, and is extremely special to me because of the memories I have attached to it (click here to check out my London vlog). I wore a pair of Zara shorts underneath which had a very countryside-inspired print on it. Essentially, there were elements of farm life printed on the shorts, which I thought fit well with the baby blue color sweatshirt. Very earthy elements were present in this outfit–blues representing the sky, and neutrals and greens on my shorts representing the land. Even though the shorts look pretty much covered up by my sweater in the images, I liked the outfit this way. It created a bit of mystery as to what exactly was on those shorts–and people only got a sneak peek here and there whenever I moved my arms up.

Yup, that’s my biggest fan (dad) in the reflection of the door taking my photo.
In terms of makeup, I went back to the wet eyelid trend. Most of you know I’m pretty obsessed with this if you follow me on instagram. I used my Smashbox Shape Matters palette for the shadow color and applied a clear Chanel lip gloss on top to achieve the wet aspect of the look. Accessories were pretty simple for this outfit; I wore my Chloe Mini Faye bag in blue, and a pair of my mother’s vintage earrings–and I made sure both my earrings, bag, and my Dior So Real sunglasses matched in terms of the silver hardware.
Overall, this was a particularly dreamy and earthy look, and ironically, it was one I wore to the shows taking place at Pier 59 Studios, a venue just by the water. Walking along the river wearing this outfit certainly felt just right. For the venue itself, the NYFW SS19 shows I saw there, and my full experience in this look, look no further 😉

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on a number of websites
for about a year and am nervous about switching to another
platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Hayes! I personally have no experience with blogengine.net, but wordpress is such a seamless platform. I personally made the switch from Weebly to WordPress and it’s been the best decision ever, for SEO and for so much more.
That is a great tip particularly to those
fresh to the blogosphere. Brief but very accurate info?
Many thanks for sharing this one. A must read post! https://flextron.org/
