I have to hand it to the low-bun; it’s an easy way to get a sleek, fuss-free look. Truthfully, having the patience to spend a ton of time on my hair is not my strong suit. If it’s a good hair day, I’ll usually just comb through it a bit and leave it open as is, or else, find a way to slick it down. I had a chance to check out the list of the most popular hairstyles in America right now, and I have to say, I’m definitely going to be trying some of those out soon. The coolest part is, the list includes an interactive map revealing the most popular style per state. While these hairstyles are definitely on my to-do list, for my rushed days, I’ve always been an advocate for the classic middle-part, low-bun look, and no matter the weather–warm or cold–this is a truly practical option. Thus, I thought I’d share some outfits that pair well with the hairstyle. Here are some low-bun friendly looks!
Snake Charmer

It’s always super fun to accessorize a black and white look a bit more than usual. After wearing this Animal Snake Print Corset Top and Black Cargo Trousers, I threw on this hat and stacked a few of my rings!

Sangria Dipped Summer Dress

I’m sure you have one or two colors that you know look fabulous on you no matter what. Personally, I know I’ll be safe wearing shades of deeper red–from maroon to wine, hence, this wine belted bodycon midi dress. When you do find a formal dress in your “safe color,” it’s always a good idea to let the dress speak and keep your hair pulled back. And, since it’s summer, it wouldn’t hurt to add a few hints of white to your look! I added my white jacket and wore my golden and white “jhumki” earrings.

Electric Colors

Pants: Free People

Honestly, what better a time than now to wear your brightest, loudest colors? Those of you who typically shy away from mixing colors, I’d urge you to take the leap this season. From hot pinks, to neons, to electric blues and bright corals, this season has been all about the bolder colors, so I pulled out this gorgeous blue satin button up. But, if you are going to go crazy on the colors, keep the hair slicked back!

All in all, bringing your hair back in a low bun this season will give you the opportunity to really play with clothes and bring out the best and boldest your wardrobe has! Yay for less time spent on hair in the mornings!!
