Awards season is here, and that means it’s the perfect time to take a look at trends on the red carpet!
I personally have always been a fan of artists’ ensembles at the Grammy Awards, above all other shows. I find that what each person wears often aligns with the feel of their own music, their own sound, and their own voice. It is hard for me to put into words, but, I guess what I mean to express is that when I see an Ariana Grande walking down the red carpet in her grandiose get-ups, I can’t help but think how perfectly it aligns with her song ‘7 Rings.’
Since I get so enthralled by the styles I see, I wanted to share some fashion trends/themes I saw at the Grammy Awards this year, and hopefully inspire you to recreate them throughout 2020!
Here are my 3 Grammy-Inspired tips to level up your everyday outfits:
Suit Up In Pink
Either find yourself a pair of formal hot pink bottoms or a nice hot pink-cropped jacket like Lil Nas X and Alicia Keys.

Jumpsuit: YOOX
Bag: Emilio Pucci Vintage
Inner Scarf: Louis Vuitton
Get Your Gray On
I’m not really sure how many outfits Ariana Grande wore at the show when you factor in her performance looks, but I’m a fan of this gray dress with gloves. As far as John Legend, I’ll just let you feast your eyes. I mean…it’s safe to say that should you choose a shade of gray, you’ll look suave as ever.

Wear White with Embellishments for Extra Elegance
Lizzo’s posh, embellished white dress paired with a boa, along with Gwen Stefani’s super embroidered white-mini worn with thigh-high boots were both wins on the red carpet this year. The next time you plan an all white look, don’t be afraid if you’ve got some Swarovskis, crystals, or embroidery on you. These make an already youthful color that much more playful. Jazz it up!

Quite frankly, there were a ton more outfits from this year’s Grammy Awards that I was itching to include, but I wanted to keep these tips short, simple, and most importantly, easy. This way, you can incorporate these philosophies in an outfit you’d wear on the any and every day.
As of now, I’m looking forward to checking out the rest of the fashions this award season for sure, but I can’t decide which show I’m most excited about now that my favorite is all done! What’s your favorite award show (fashion wise)?
XOXO,
-MS
