“Watch Me Build A Look on Vibrant Blue: Fall 2020’s Standout Color” was sponsored by Casio G-SHOCK Women. All opinions are my own.
The icing on the cake of this story is what you just saw in the title–the fact that vibrant blue is Fall 2020’s standout color, according to a variety of sources, including WhoWhatWear.
However, if we can get deep for a moment, the color blue is embedded in my blood and personality, much deeper than even I, myself, can explain. I’m attached to what the color symbolizes: peace, serenity, inspiration, and wisdom. As a human being, these are among my topmost values.
In total honesty, with all the talk about neutrals this season, I grew tired of wearing beige on beige and white on white. I’m a colorful human being, and if I had to start including color into my Fall looks, I knew I’d start with blue–especially after receiving my lovely G-MS Analog G-SHOCK watch in the color.
Inspired by this watch’s vibrant blue color, comfort, and sophisticated style, I built a look that integrated these characteristics, and of course, paid homage to Fall’s traditional colors (brown, tan, etc.) in a small way, too.
This watch, just like the color blue, is extremely versatile. A solar powered timepiece, it’s also the perfect everyday accessory that gives you a date display, low battery alerts, and is both shock and water resistant! So many lovely qualities associated with it, just as is the case with the color blue.
As I write this post, I’m realizing it is definitely turning into a love letter of sorts–both towards the color blue and this watch. I’ve written previously about blue looks, but have never gotten this deep into why I love the color. Too, as far as the watch goes, I’ve recently shared a bit about another lovely G-SHOCK that I’m a proud owner of. Though they say to never choose between your babies, the watch I’m sharing in this post holds a little extra special place in my heart because it is my favorite color, after all.
While blue is my personal favorite, I’m sure you have a color that means a lot to you, too. I encourage you to check out the G-SHOCK MS Collection, and find yours. Even if it’s not blue, I’m sure you’ll find something that looks cool.
